HOW REFUNDS WORK AT VINGO

All orders on Vingo are paid in full online through our payment partner, Razorpay — Vingo never holds your money directly. When a refund is due, it is always for the full amount and is returned to your original payment method. Refunds are rare by design: there is no cancellation option once an order is placed, and you don’t need to submit a refund request. Instead, we issue a full refund whenever a payment has been taken but the order can’t be completed, and when you reject an item at delivery. For any payment or order concern, chat with us on WhatsApp (Section 6).

#1Overview & How Refunds Work

Vingo is a consumer-to-consumer (C2C) marketplace. Every order is paid in full online at checkout through Razorpay; Vingo does not hold your funds directly, and all refunds are processed back through Razorpay to your original payment method.

Refunds on Vingo are intentionally rare and are handled by our team. There is no partial refund, no store credit, and no separate refund-request form in the app. When you are entitled to a refund under the situations described in Section 2, we issue it to you — you do not need to take any special steps beyond, where relevant, rejecting an item at delivery or contacting our support team.

Because the checkout flow reserves the item for you and takes payment only at that point, most problems are prevented before any money changes hands. In the rare cases where a payment is taken but the order cannot go ahead, the full amount is returned to you.

#2When You’ll Receive a Refund

You will receive a full refund in the following situations.

#2.1Your payment was taken, but the order couldn’t be completed

Occasionally a payment may be charged for an order that can no longer go ahead — for example, if the time window to pay for your winning bid or purchase had already closed, if the order had already been cancelled, or if the amount charged did not match your order. When this happens, our system detects it and we issue a full refund to your original payment method. You do not need to request this; it is handled for you.

#2.2You reject the item at delivery (open-box inspection)

You may inspect your item at the time of delivery. If you reject the item during this open-box inspection, it is returned to the seller and you receive a full refund. Delivery-rejection refunds are reviewed and processed only by our team.

#2.3Your payment failed or couldn’t be confirmed, but money was deducted

If a payment fails, or we cannot immediately confirm it, but an amount was deducted from your account, that amount will be refunded. The app will tell you what happened and you can check the status of your order under My Orders. If money was deducted and your order did not complete, it is returned automatically. If you don’t see the reversal within the timelines in Section 5, contact us.

WHAT YOU MAY SEE IN THE APP

In these situations the app shows a clear message, such as: “Payment captured but the order could not be completed. A refund is being processed,” or “We could not confirm your payment. If money was deducted it will be refunded.” These mean a refund is on the way or your payment is still being confirmed.

#3Full Refunds Only

Vingo does not issue partial refunds. Every refund is for the full amount captured for the order and is returned to the original payment method used at checkout. Refunds are never issued to a different card, bank account, UPI ID, or wallet.

#4Cancellations

Once an order is placed and paid for, it cannot be cancelled from the app; your order screen displays a note confirming this. Because an item is reserved for you when you win or buy it, and payment is taken only at checkout, there is no in-app cancellation flow for buyers or sellers.

If a payment is nonetheless taken on an order that cannot proceed (see Section 2.1), the automatic full refund applies. If you have an urgent concern about an order you have just placed, contact us on WhatsApp as early as possible and we will help where we can. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.

#5How Refunds Are Processed & Timelines

All refunds are issued through Razorpay to your original payment method. Once a refund is issued, the time it takes to reach you is set by Razorpay and your bank — it is not controlled by Vingo:

Payment instrument usedRefund destinationTypical timeline
Credit / debit cardSame card5–7 business days
UPISame UPI ID / linked bank account2–3 business days
WalletSame wallet2–3 business days
Net bankingSame bank account5–7 business days

If your card has since expired or been replaced, the refund is still routed by your bank to the underlying account. If that account is closed, please contact your bank and Vingo so we can help arrange the refund.

#6Support & Escalation

For any question about a payment, order, or refund, reach us through the app:

Because refunds are issued by us when they are due, there is no separate refund-request form to fill in. If you believe you are owed a refund that you have not received, message us on WhatsApp with your order details and we will investigate.

If a matter remains unresolved, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer at [grievance@justvingo.com]. You may also pursue remedies available to you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

This Refund Policy describes how Vingo handles refunds today and forms part of, and should be read with, the Vingo Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Nothing in this policy removes or limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer under Indian law. We may update this policy as our operations evolve; the “Effective date” above reflects the current version.
